Our mission is to preserve the natural character of Tyrone Township through civic engagement, conservation, outreach, and advocacy.

What We Do

 

Civil Engagement

In staying current on local development, and informed on policy, we work to build engagement between residents and Township decision makers.

Conservation

RCP supports conservation inititives and educational opportunities that help us achieve our Tyrone Township motto, “Living in harmony with nature.”

Outreach

We strive to be a support venue for residents through dialoge, research, print materials, awareness, resources, and coordinated intiatives.

Advocacy

Our role is to listen to collective community voices in order to promote & support the Vision Statement of our Master Plan.

How We Accomplish Our Mission

  • We provide community outreach, education, and promote resident engagement.

  • We maintain a working relationship with Township Officials.

  • We stay current and engage with the public about civic matters as they develop.

  • We attend Township Board and Planning Commission meetings to stay informed.

  • We advocate for appropriate Zoning and Planning Development in accordance with the above stated mission.

  • We promote and support our Community Vision Statement.

  • We take courses, attend workshops, and participate in meetings to stay informed.

  • We share what we learn.
